Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said,
It is not good that the man should be alone;
I will make him an help meet for him.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Colosians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
1Thess. 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify
you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be
preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Col. 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
2Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
That he might daily seek God with all his heart,
walking in the Spirit moment by moment,
growing in his dependence on Him.
Psalm 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in
the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. 2 Blessed are they that
keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Prov. 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
That he might learn to take every thought captive
and not be conformed to the world's thinking.
Rom. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but
be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what
is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of
2Cor. 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
That he might learn to not depend on his
circumstances for happiness but on God alone.
Hab. 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not
blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of
the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall
be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds'
feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief
singer on my stringed instruments.
Php. 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
That he might have new strength in the
midst of his busy schedule and that the Lord might
strengthen him with His strength.
Isa. 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall
renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they
shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Eph. 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not
hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the
word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in
a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect
law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer,
but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Rom. 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

That the Lord would give his wisdom to lead his family -
physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Eph. 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation
in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of
the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. That he might become a called man, not driven,
with well thought through and prayed through goals in life.
1Cor. 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto
the blips a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them
which are called, both blips and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the
wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the
weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren,
how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble,
are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world
to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to
confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and
things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which
are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory
in his presence.
2Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

That he might stand firm against the schemes
of the devil and resist Satan in all circumstances
and not be deceived into unbelief or sin.
Jas. 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw
nigh to you...
1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Heb. 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
That he will resist temptation.
Gal. 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to
his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit
shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well
doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
1Cor.10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
That the fruit of the Spirit would be
exhibited more and more in his life.
Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified
the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Eph. 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
That he might learn to love as God commanded.
1Cor. 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is
kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all
Rom. 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
1John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
That the Lord would protect him, guarding his course.
Prov. 2:8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and
preserveth the way of his saints.
Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
That he might learn to redeem the time well.
Eph. 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
That he might be a mighty man of valour for the Lord.
2Cor. 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that
ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you,
yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea,
what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal,
yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be
clear in this matter.
Gal. 4:18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
