Karl Kamin, our friend in Texas, was lead to Christ by a friend who witnessed and taught from the New American Standard Bible. Karl at once started studying the Bible, and one day he came on this passage in his NASB, speaking about Jesus:
John 7:3 Therefore His brothers said to Him, "Leave here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see Your works which You are doing.
4 "For no one does anything in secret when he himself seeks to be known publicly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.''
5 For not even His brothers were believing in Him.
6 So Jesus said to them, " My time is not yet here, but your time is always opportune.
7 " The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.
8 "Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come.''
9 Having said these things to them, He stayed in Galilee.
10 But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.
11 So the blips were seeking Him at the feast and were saying, "Where is He?''
Karl saw this and got mad, for it was clear that Jesus lied. Later, Karl showed this to the man who lead him to Christ. The man had nothing to say. He just sluffed it off. So, Karl showed it to a Christian friend at work. This fellow was a King James Bible man, and he went and got his KJV to see what it said. Here it is:
John 7:3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.
5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.

8 Go ye up unto this feast:
I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.
9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
11 Then the blips sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
The changes are really minor, except for
one little word-- "yet." Now,
Jesus is NOT a liar. Now, we can teach. I am utterly sick of the effete lofty
eyed snobs who love to claim that the NASB is scholarly and a good translation
of the Greek. The NASB is spiritual sewage.
The hogs deserve better.
Look what we have here:
Jesus was being confronted by his doubting extended family, and He simply did not want to cast His pearls before swine. Yet, He did not insult or blast them. Rather; He told them He would not be going up "yet." "Yet" meant He was not going with THEM! After they went up to JerBliplem, the "yet" condition on timing of His life was taken care of, and off He went to JerBliplem. If He had gone with them, they would no doubt have made a big public deal of "our precious brother, the Messiah," and He would have had to handle the mess of human nature run amuck in His family. It could have triggered the final act, and that was "not yet come."
Karl Kamin was refreshed to see that his NASB was a lying piece of trash, and the KJV was the real Bible for him. He switched at once of course. If YOU are using an NASB, you are using a lying Bible.
British
soldiers, and the chaps in the back room of the pub, play a game called "lie
and dice." You throw 5 dice with poker markings on them, and you cover
them and lie, or tell the truth, to your advantage. Your opponents try to psych
you out and challenge you. Luck and stealth are the sole foundation of the game.
It is a very famous gambling game of course.
Thus, the NASB is a "lie and dice" Bible. You are gambling on getting the Truth out of it, and your soul is at stake, and that of EVERYONE you claim to be witnessing to and teaching. The two sharks in the photo are just as likely to get the Truth of the Word of God at this poker session as they would from the study of the New American Standard Bible, or the New International Version for that matter. Karl Kamin came very close to giving up on
his new faith and blaspheming God. What kind of fool would play "lie and
dice" with the souls of men like Karl's friend did?
Answer: Satan, James White, and the NASB translation committee.
But, are YOU also doing this?
Do YOU owe Satan allegiance to his mongrel bible?
"I have a Large Straight." Do you believe me? Huh?
It's to-hell-with-you if you lose.
Unless, of course, you have a soul saving KJV there.

(1) While the NIV has the "yet" included on the page discussed above, we include the NIV because it trashes the Word of God even worse. The equivalent of Acts through Revelation has been removed from the the Bible by the NIV. That is 65,000 words. Also, to see the lie and dice work of Satan in the NIV, here is where Jesus is made into Lucifer:
Speaking of Lucifer when he fell from heaven: Isaiah 14:11-13 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
2 Peter 1:18-20 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Revelation 2:27-29 I will also give him the morning star.
Revelation 22:15-17 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
There you are, you who use the NIV. You lose the crap game again-- Your Jesus fell from heaven and was the Morning Star, Lucifer. Now, there is a royal flush-- Jesus is made into Satan!
